Only 20% no shows? My room was only half full -- did anybody else experience a low turnout when taking the exam this year? And does anybody on the buy side care about CFA, or do only people on the sell side care? I even have some sell side friends that use the CFA to help them get into business school and they then go back to the sell side. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Am I missing something? Can anyone explain this thinking?

It gives you the bigger picture if you're a quant (Eng, Physicist, Mathematician) and on the sell side. AND, it helps in moving up the food chain. Read above post by PPauper, I think I may have paraphrased him.
