Bloomberg free trial

February 25th, 2005, 11:28 pm

Hi!I just had a conversation with a friend tonight who works a Bloomberg. He said that if you have had an own terminal with a personal login you can have a free trial for use at home for 120 days when you are between jobs. This sounds a bit too good to be true but I was not very drunk tonight. Where is the catch? Has anyone tried this?Regards,Lincaren1

Bloomberg free trial

Makes sense, Bloomberg is sort of like Microsoft.Their everything-for-one-price package and two-year contract, minimize the chances of a competing provider of some sub-service getting his foot in the door.Bloomberg isn't great for anything. But it's just good enough for everything, that you are unlikely to to go to a premium niche provider in some area. Why would they want you going to EcoWin for economics, or Reuters for news, or whatever you need to get by for those few months?Anyway, I thought you could get Bloomberg free indefinitely by incorporating, and putting your company on the contract

Thanks for you reply.I agree with you about Bloomberg. For the moment, since I am out of the market, the main use would be to gain access to the database of people.I would download BB to my home computer. Thanks
