Getting a GRA for QCF students is not very easy. Though GTech is very research oriented and is well-funded in most of the departments, QCF program doesn't seem to get benefited in terms of funding. As the program is mulit-disciplinary, no one department takes responsibility (except for the math dept. to certain extent) and so very few GRA positions (actually, I would call these positions GSAs and not GRAs as there would be not much of research one does) areopen for QCF students. IF you search hard, you might find a GSA position with relatively less effort. On the other hand, if you have some good programming work experience, you might stand a good chance to a GRA. But, do not expect to easily get a GRA in say, EE or CS departments easily because there would be better qualified students within these departments looking for GRA positions.I just wanted to let you know so that you guys don't join the program assuming that you'd find a position right away. However, last year there were some hourly-pay positions, which are just sufficient to make ends meet!Best,SP
