"I want to see the whole business. I want exposure in Front... (Middle)... and Back offices. So that I will be the Boss one day."Of course don't say those exact words to your (future) boss as it would threaten him.

To be honest very few people move from the front to back offices. And certainly you won't get to run a bank by mastering the skills of settling trades for the simple reason that mid and back offices are cost centres.
