1st interview at Bloomberg

January 3rd, 2006, 4:43 pm

I have an interview at Bloomberg for an entry-level quant researcher position. Can anyone tell me what to expect at this 1st interview? Is it going to be a HR screening interview or will it be more technical? Thanks.

I used to work at bloomberg and have no recollection about that position. Entry level positions there usually involve little more than answering phones and data entry. Can you give us more details into the job description? Job interviews at BBG are all character. It doesn't matter if you don't know what a bond is. If you can sell yourself and sound like a team player with sales potential, then you are in

My experience for first round quant developer phone interview was that it was a pure technical "do you have these basic skills that we need" interview. No soft/HR stuff, just your standard skills based questions. They had something very specific in mind. PM me for details.
