jobs in sweden

Hi guys,What do you know about possible quant jobs (or related jobs) in sweden, particularly stockholm (got family there)? Any banks hedge fund there to apply to or other advice? E.g salaries, work conditions etc.Thanks :-)

I can only speek for Oslo, but I think it applies to most of the nordic countries. There excist quant jobs, but not the front office kind they are talking about here. You should look for "risk manger" positions. A quant trader only excist at the central bank, here in Norway. But they use technology from the stone age and I guess you can't really call it a "quant" job. The problem is the liquidity in the derivatives market. At least for Oslo, but Stocholm is proabably just a little bit better.

No hedge funds or other trading houses that are active on non-scandinavian markets? Don't really have to sit in Frankfurt to buy Wolkswagen any longer...

Yes, he is.. he used to work for a bank in Oslo before he moved abroad.
