Urgent HELP!! (ICAP)

December 31st, 2005, 3:38 am

Hi Guys, I have an interview with ICAP (interdealer brokers) in early January, but i cant find any information on how they interview or what the interviews are like!! I know they dont do numeracy tests. Does anyone know what the working culture at these places are like? e.g loud boisterous traders or quieter more serious attitude. What sorts of personalities are they looking for?Do you have any tips for the interview?(I've tried to do research on the internet but i cant find that much)Any help would be much appreciated because I'm tearing my hair out!!! Admin - (Sorry this may be in the wrong forum)

What sort of role are you going for. Alas we don't act for ICAP (yet), but I've had dealings with them.A lot depends upon which bit of ICAP. There are more distinct cultures from the various firms from which it has been constructed.

Hi DCFC, thanks for replying. I am currently hoping to get into the graduate training programme (I'm 23) in the London office. Not sure if you'll find that helps much, but any information would be very useful.

I suspect you'll be dumped with traders. Worth spending a little effort to read up on what the market's currently doing.
