Hi All,If a trader was hypothetically looking to move on from their current firm to pastures new, how long of a track record would they need to have in order to legitimately start looking around? Thanks in advance for all replies!

Quantitatively (model driven/systematic) or discretionary? If quantitatively, are your strategies high frequency/intra day in nature or more medium to longer term forcasting?

There is a discretionary element to what I do but we do use various quantitative criteria to pick out stocks. I am at liberty to not trade stocks our systems generate and if I do trade them, sizing is up to me. I can also put on trades the prop system doesn't like if I think I can make money out of them.Holding periods vary, could be a few days, could be a few months.

Is there any way that you could turn on your PM function?I would prefer not to give out the information over a public forum if possible.

Sure, I understand where you're coming from. I think the PM is on but might be best to drop me an e-mail at jj.wilmott@gmail.com
