i heard from a HSBC quant last year that they are expanding and recently they hired Karasinski (yes the K in the B-K model) to lead their fixed income group.

actually, Karasinski is heading the hybrid stuff here. As for hiring, there is some indeed, with special emphasis on EQD, in Paris.

The Quantitative research concerning EQD and FI is done in Paris. They are currently recruiting in those teams.As mentioned TomFr the hybrids quant research is done in London but some people say it will move to Paris...
