You are looking for a laundry list of current strategies? A good starting point is an index provider (CSFB Tremont, Evaluation Associates, Hedge Fund Research). They all supply generic definitions of strategies for their strategy indices.Understand that there are sub-strategies within the groupings. Convertible arbitrage can focus on credit or gamma trading opportunities, fixed income arbitrage can focus on mortgage backed, credit curve anomalies, etc. for starters.
