Urgent help please!

May 10th, 2006, 8:25 pm

Hi all,New to this forum. I am in a big dilemma. Hope someone can help me out. Here is my problem:I had a telephone interview with a company last friday morning. The same day afternoon I was contacted by the HR and asked about my availability for the onsite interview. I replied the lady saying I would let her know Monday early morning. As I told her, I left her a voice mail (she did not give her e-mail) on Monday morning that I would be available for onsite interview next week Thursday and Friday, as I am traveling this week and Monday, Tuesday of next week in my current job. She did not reply me on Monday. I contacted her again yesterday and left another voice mail. Today again, I called her up and left her a voice mail. I am getting a little anxious because I have to plan my travel schedule in my current job. The subsequent weeks for booked and it would be really difficult if I dont make it there next week. I really dont know what to do. I am very interested in the postion and am concerned that the longer I postpone, it may get filled. I am sure she is getting my messages. I pressed '0' when calling her number, got transferred to the operator and I was told she was in office. Do you think I should write my situation to the manager who interviewed me? What should I do? Can some one help please? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I thought this would be construed negatively in two ways:i) I am complaining about someone in the companyii) Could violate the thin line between strong interest and desperationGuys! if you could please advise. I need to have something done by the end of today. Thanks a lot!

Sounds like you blew it.By not arranging an interview when you were first asked to, you displayed a lack of interest, and they've no doubt gone to the next guy on the list.

I just heard from the HR lady herself that she had been busy and was going to work on scheduling my interview! Thanks a lot for your suggestions anyways!Yes, ppauper I was concerned exactly about what you said. Thank god, that was not the case. I did learn a lesson here.I appreciate the responses. I will come back to this forum later with questions on what I can expect in the interview. Hope people here can help.
