Does the word w*nkers translate outside the UK? Without wishing to appear like I only take my cultural cues from former Genesis singers, I saw an interview with Phil Collins a few years, talking about his appearance on Miami Vice where the phrase "You must take me for a right w*nker" appeared. Our minimally haired, Oscar winning (for his singing, not his acting) friend had to explain to the script writers what a w*nker was (which is ironic really) and that it probably wouldn't get past the networks, let alone the BBC. Maybe that is another binary split. Those who know what a w*nker is, and those that don't (know that is, not those that don't w*nk). Some "tertiary" splits came to mind over the weekend.
