If you mean mathfinance journals, see my thread 'Finance [and related] Journals' in this Forum. Many of the 'magazines', like Derivatives Week, etc. are too expensive for most public or university libraries---RISK would probably also be in that class.

i am more interested in knowing the magazines normally you can`t find in the university library. i.e. practitioners`d like to read.one example is "journal of investment management". Not many schools subscribe it since it`s not included in the products like Gale or Proquest. So it`s not easy to find public`s opinion on it.

QuantOption, My list is 'idealistic.' You will probably find only the 'classic' journals in most university libraries---i.e. ones the Math and Engineering schools request. Good business schools may have the library get RISK [but probably not the other publications by their company [like Journal of Computational Finance]], and I suspect few would get Wilmott Magazine. Good universites may have master agreements [more common now with electronic only journals] like with Springer and Blackwell, to get Finance and Stochastics, Mathematical Finance, etc.. Large banks and hedge funds may get journals like Wilmott, J. Comp. Finance, etc.. But even large 'mature' banks and hedge funds that have developed their models and done alot of the 'heavy' quant work, may [have] decided that those are too expensive anymore and they don't need to keep the Quants happy [or educated] anymore. That is not just speculation !
