How many people can type with all ten fingers at the same time?

nice one mutts, merry xmas indeed!actually I just checked and I'm six fingers, two thumbs but they're useless except for space and the occasional use of \ for tex. Occasionally my pinkies are supple enough for the odd carriage return or tab but this is a rare feat, these are my vistigial digits

Why dont folks use voice recognition systems? I have heard that their accuracy rates are in the high 90s%.

If there's anyone else in the room, they'll likely complain about the noise, because I tend to treat modern keyboards like a mechanical typewriter! Even electric typewriters, card punchers or teletypes used to need a significant pressure and travel distance to make the contact necessary to trigger the solenoid and the whole machine jumped with each character.
