When contemplating the two options available to me (CFA vs. CQF), I was not sure which program was a better fit for me. My experience (CQF completed in 2011) might be helpful in one's decision process. The CQF's content was relevant with practical cases. I really enjoyed the tutoring, especially Randeep Gug, Sebastien Lleo and Riaz Ahmad, who prepared a very detailed set of notes with examples. Their way of teaching made me understand very technical topics. Also, having recordings of the courses allowed me to watch the tutorials more than once. Any questions I had were answered by the faculty within a day (weekends included). Finally, even my CFA colleagues were really impressed by the CQF program, which should boost your financial knowledge significantly.Having said that, the CQF has two major drawbacks by only being a certificate (vs. certified program, e.g. certified quant) and by not being as well known as the CFA. In North America, you don't have to explain what the CFA is...which is useful when looking for a job
