One could easily argue that she's should have been in trouble for not ensuring it's up at 3AM. But there is no symmetry in the rules, no matter what, it's always the guy that gets in trouble for not putting it up/down. How come guys ended up being the manager & getting responsibilities for getting the state of the toilet seat correct?I call it the division of geospatial control based on the differences between the average* mens' vs. womens' spatial memory structures. Women are masters of the domestic, interior, "microspace." My wife's sense of interior location and placement of objects in the home is much much better than mine. If I mislay an object in our home, the object virtually "screams" at my wife whilst I am oblivious to it. And men are masters of exterior "macrospace." My sense of exterior direction, location, and placement of objects is much much better than my wife's. I'd recommend respecting these differences and keeping the seat down.P.S. Remember: If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweetie and wipe the seatie.* Please don't be mad at me for making gross generalizations about men v. women. I realize that, despite some strong average differences, the dispersion is so large than the distributions overlap significantly. In other words, "your mileage may vary," "ask your doctor if this advice is right for you"
