I wonder if what we need is a "common entrance exam" which can be taken after a course or self study ?It would cover finance of course, but maths, IT and other skills. The trick I think will be to make it open ended. Rather than pass or fail, you get to go as far as you can, and there is no fixed upper bound to your score.

It would be great: especially for guys that cannot afford paying big dollars in MFE etc … programs. Great Idea, when are you creating it?

It's quite a bit of work to define such an exam, but quite possible.What I've never been able to work out, is how to get enough industry acceptance.
