Prime Brokerage Strategy Group

Does anybody know about this group? How is the career path there?This group is sort of a quant group, but I feel it's quite different fromthose quants on trading floor. I know Prime Brokerage doesn't involve tradings, is it a promising area to work for?Thanks a lot for any inputs.

I work in PB Risk Management. Here are my two main reasons for enjoying it (on top of my interest in risk):- It's front office without the production pressure that comes with most front office jobs;- It's quite varied: client interaction, work with sales and traders, methodology/project work etc.Also, depending on the business of the firm you may end up handling sophisticated products (e.g. bespoke CDO's), debating your numbers with experts in the field.

Hi dhan16, I just applied from their website. Hi idicandoidicando, I already finished my interviews with them. Most interview questions were based on my resume. They alsoasked some puzzles and your understanding of the market(be sure to know what's going on in the financial market).Good luck.

thanks for your message. The interview that you had looks a bit different from other department's interviews. Just enquiry:What do you mean that 'be sure to know what's going on in the financial market'?Are you talking about following up financial news or technical questions about finance such as option pricing and BS model?Could you explain more your interview?It would be very helpful in preparing for my interview.Many thanks
