QuoteOriginally posted by: JDoes China investment Corp. hire foreigner?Right now they have bids out for fund management companies. I think that those fund management companies will start hiring people in a few months. There also are lots of Chinese mutual funds that are hiring buy-side portfolio managers, but they generally require at least three years of international experience, and they are particularly interested in people with emerging markets experience. Also lots of demand for IT people. There doesn't seem to be that much demand for quants on the sell-side. Most of the demand for this seem to be with the global investment banks.

CIC is by nature a government investment arm. Politics sometimes might play a rule there. IF you are interested in working in China, try Funds like Harvest.
