I took the test at Chicago, 10/17, but haven't heard back.Although I didn't do well in the test, so not really expecting anything positive.....

Follow up: I have an interview with the GMAG App-Dev group in a couple of days.Any ideas on what kind of questions to expect?Anyone who has already interviewed with them??

I had an interview with GMAG, but not the AD group. It was mostly generic stuff, why do you want this job etc. I guess they assume the technical stuff was covered by the exam, so no need to repeat all that.

They are so slow. Took the one at Caltech 4 weeks (?) ago, only last week did I hear back from them. A phone interview in a couple days. The problem is I don't even know which group is interviewing me, other than that it's GMAG.

Just out of curiousity, has anybody who took the test in New York or California been invited on-site?

CS is funny in that it provides paper-based tests for interviewees, for both full-time and internships.also, they are, based on my observation, the only bank that actively solicits applicants through mass-emailing.they may gain some advantage by lowering their prestige, but i still think their very strict internship programs are basically to mint good candidates for better banks.

Folks -- does anybody know if there is an internship exam being given in Chicago? I just got an invite for the one in NYC next Wednesday -- but the problem is, I am nowhere near NYC. I'd have to drive to Chicago and fly to NYC; in short, my total travel costs would be at least $400. And they want an answer on Sunday. Ugh!Second question: suppose I bomb the internship exam. Would that go in my record and preclude me from being invited to the exam again e.g. when applying for FT? In derivatives terms, is the downside limited?I've never done great in a timed exam environment, especially with little prep time, so if I were to take it next week, I'd expect an average result at best. If I didn't have to travel far, I'd definitely go for it, but spending $200+ of my own money on something that I am afraid has an equal chance of being detrimental or beneficial to my future career... Don't know. Feel free to chime in with advice if you have any
