QuoteOriginally posted by: nickelplateHi All, been lurking for a while but this is my first post.I have a phone interview with Starmine in San Francisco this week. If any of you have experience with their hiring process, any info tidbits you'd be willing to share would be most appreciated. How many rounds was it, what vibe did you get, what kind of questions did they ask... that kind of thing. Thanks much! One of my friends interviewed them a few years ago and from what I heard, the head of the research group was extremely cocky despite not having any background in modeling/research. I suppose they have a few signals that work very well for them. If I am not wrong, you shall also have to sign some non-disclosure forms just for interviewing, which indicates some sort of micromanagement. As such they have a reasonable reputation in the bay area but when compared to BGI and BARRA , Starmine is no where close in competition.
