Not surprising. I was browsing the Harvard Coop bookstore the other day and saw they had 3 copies of "Hedge Funds for Dummies." If that's not a sell signal, I don't know what is.

It's only a sell-signal if there were two or more copies of "The Idiot's Guide to Hedge Funds" next to those.

What kind of power law governs the returns of hedge funds? Seems like Simons is going to rule the world?! At least Shaw took a hit 15 years ago.

1) D.B. Zwirn.......the "D.B." stands for douche bag2) What kind of power law?........If you're just a little bit better than everybody else, you'll eventually be acknowledged as the best and maybe there's a fifth-power exponential effect also.

2. If you achieve 35% p.a. that is much, much more than a little bit better than the average due to compounding. If you have a perfect scalable basket of strategies that almost as good as the money press. On the other hand all exponential trends have to come to an end at some point.
