CAIA (and FRM)

April 14th, 2008, 10:40 pm

Hi all,Considering we are at least 5 years after caia's exam inception I am guessing current charters and people in the industry could now provide a constructive assessment of it's value. (By constructive I mean comments others than the exam is easy, w/e other exam is better, blabla)From my perspective the content seem to be very interesting and useful in any finance environment. However, the exam looks fairly overpriced. Considering anybody can study the materials without having to register for the exam, please share your knowledge on the benefits of being a chartered AI analyst Main one in the short run probably being the access to interesting job offers (at least I'd hope so).Quick note on the FRM. Very interesting study materials. Very valuable knowledge. Fairly priced (though they obviously will reap you off of a $100 per year until your last breath). Definitely a recognized standard in the risk industry and in the finance world. Finally, I never used the service but it looks like they have a decent amount of interesting job offer on display. All constructive comments more than welcome!Regards.

How is PRM certification? It is comparable to FRM too. MN
