Honestly, how much lower can sterling go? I'm considering moving back to Ireland at this stage.

Ireland has its own problems - if it had its own currency it would be Mexican Peso of 21st century. the probelms are appearing elsewhere - runaway inflation, a depressed housing market and over exposure to being a back office to london's hedge fund business

The problem is that as far as credit crunch will be in affect UK's economy will be affected due to its financial sector . On the other side Euro zone has been giving some solid growth data with inflation somwhat in control . With ECB and its Hawkish stance you might expect Euro to hold in its stance and GBP to correct. But end of the day this is just short term affects you better off with staying in UK due to its long term fundamentals.......

Compared to 36% inflation, might be "in control".
