what is Quantitative trading, algorithmic trading?

I still don't know what do they do? I mean if most ppl do FA,TA to trade then what's the difference? Not sure if it's simply merging the TA skill to the computer, like when stock price penetrate some MA line, or BB line, etc.. if this is the case, there must be someone to set the rules when to buy and when to sell. what else does "algorithmic' include?

That is because most of the traders are familiar with TA indicators. While there are other trading strategies like Quarter Delta, Pair trading etc. which can be implemented in Algo trading.

Can someone explain what volume participation is?

Usually used by 'momentum based' traders who place want to capture a certain volume of a trend in price movement without their participation actually influencing the price movement. The algo tries to determine what the price movement will actually bear. Those who use this will often place an emphasis on trends in volume as a major indicator for price movement.
