This is consistent with what I know. Amaranth was large enough that veterans could guess what Brian Hunter was doing, and Brain had just a few enemies. rich7804 wrote: >> Is Centaurus doing any exotics? Centaurus is building an underground storage facilities for LNG. Sounds pretty exotic to me, in its own way.July is unfolding and proving quite interesting. Some of the gas guys definitely got 'clocked' in the price correction; the good ones were okay. A lot of smart macro guys are now saying the price of NG has peaked for a while.

>> does not mean they are financially exotic Very true.. I just think it is funny a trading shop is building NG storage facilities. I don't know if they are playing contango or see a private-equity-ish opportunity.>> Is John Arnold Long the 9-9.50 calls now? Knowing the Centaurus guys is an honor, but they just plain don't talk about their trades or views. Sorry.

I don't know if they are playing contango or see a private-equity-ish opportunity.Being of the cynical strain, if there is storage, then there are exotics constructed from it floating around. Storage is just too fun.
