Hello all,I'm going to the final interview with this firm, IMC-trading(International Marketmarking Combination). It's said to be a top equity derivative house in the Europe.. But frankly I didn't know it and my former colleagues in GS neither (I was doing eq derivative there).. I'm going to interview with the Hong Kong office..From the website I think it's an asset management firm focusing on derivative trading.Does anyway happens to have heard of this firm? PLS tell me something about it if you know that firm, no matter track record, culture, people. startegy.... That should be extremely helpful to me!THANKS!!!!!!!

I didn't work there, but knew some people who did, and I once interviewed there a year ago. But:- market making, huge presence in HK equity derivatives market, its a low margin high frequency business, though there could be some prop desks these days- casual working environment (casual clothes, beers in the fridge)- age range 20-29, the managers in their late 30s- managers control the big books, usually the indices, and to start off the juniors will trade the less liquid stocks- IT sit amongst the traders, literally IT-trader-IT seating arrangements, really good feel of teamHope that helps

Hi all!This is my first post. I've been invited for a final round interviews with IMC Asia Pacific in HK. I am too happy they took the risk to invite me and pay the plane ticket (PAris - HK) just for interviews...Do you guys have any tips or idea about what would the tests look? (especially Broker tests, Marketmakers test and trading simulation)I am really excited to go there but I don't know how to prepare for those interviews..thanks a lot!

Try googling "optiver interviews". you'll get thousands of posts related to interviews at these market makers...

Hi,I hate to bring this back out of ancient history, but does anyone care to share any information on these "broker test" and "market making" simulation that IMC has in its final round interviews? I tried googling for IMC interview and Optiver interview, but all that comes up is thread after thread of people talking about mental math (basic arithmetic) tests.
