Investment banking still alive??

February 6th, 2009, 1:48 pm

hi guys, I need help! I'm a 2nd year grad student at Bocconi University in Milan, I study finance, both quantitative 4 markets and investment banking. my dream when I started last year was to be an inv bank analyst in gs or others but the crisis made me fall on the ground. I need to make a mandatory intership to graduate, so I ask you- is investment banking still a field to find work in the next years?- where should I apply for my intership? the big invest banks don't accept applications, where can I start from? maybe audit?thanks everybody
