Way to Quant

Hi,I want to know the best way to help me transition in quant. Which one is better : Msc Mathematical finance or Msc in Applied Mathematics?Is there any online Masters course for applied mathematics? Is there any online crash course for brushing up mathematics(like PDE etc.)?Does anybody know how is University of York rated and how is there distance learning course?Any other comments or suggestions are welcome as well.Thanks

You may try to get into junior roles in energy/utilities directly, there is something. I don't quite get what they want.You might also want to reconsider and stay put at least for some time.http://news.efinancialcareers.co.uk/new ... emId-17501

hey, all.I am current an acturial student and facing to graduate in the coming year. I am considering to transition in quant because I feel more interested in the financial maths, the insurance spread sheet make me bored. Can anyone offer me some considerate measures? like doing a Phd degree and sth else.

I have done some maths courses as well, calculus, vector calculus, applied PDE, scientific programming, applied mathematics,probability and statistics.
