yeah, was great to hear Raffy in English... Still, our beloved, suprem President (see, in France also we have a cult of personality... maybe Bush will add France to the Evil axis) was nammed a rat not being able to roar or something like this by the WSJ...

QuoteOriginally posted by: TomfrStill, our beloved, suprem President (see, in France also we have a cult of personality... maybe Bush will add France to the Evil axis) was nammed a rat not being able to roar or something like this by the WSJ...what's the matter with you guys? haven't you heard about the axis of Weasel? People actually already sell t-shirts and baseball hats with axis of Weasel logos on the InternetI recently saw esteemed Jacque Chirac on C-span and it stroke me. I am not sure if any of you saw this French movie "Fantomas". It was very very old even when I was a kid and I saw it by an accident. Anyways it's an idiotic flick with some mean archdevil Fantomas running from police on a flying submarine. Long story short there is this guy commisaire Juve, played by comedian Louis De Funes. He talks a lot with his hands and gets in all kinds of ridiculous situations. Seemed to me Jacque Chirac is his reincarnation in terms of general demeanor, jesticulation, and high pitched voice. Did anyone in France pick up on that?

in fact, you could have seen any De Funes movie, he has the very same expressions in all his films...in the meantime, did you see our Defense minister... errr, I should write ministress since the Minister is a she, but sh wants to show she has two, just as the big boys she is overseeing: "Come on, you Donald, you want an Alliance, then do it on an equal basis... we do not care if you already sent 5 aircraft carriers in the Gulf while we cannot have a single one in order (btw, we just have one)"... sh's so sexy when she gets angry

I loved the reaction to Rumsfeld's idiotic ramblings by the French minister of ecology, who is a lady too:La ministre de l'Ecologie Roselyne Bachelot: "Vous savez, moi je suis des Pays de la Loire, et il y a dans les Pays de la Loire une célébrité qui s'appelle Cambronne" - "You know, I come from the province of Loire, and there we have a certain celebrity named Cambronne".Merde, that is.Bravo

Tomfr, you got me going there buddy. That is until I checked her picture. I mean, what's the deal? France doesn't have a defense budget anyways. Why not to give the job to what's her name, Emmanuele Seigner, or Laetitia Casta? This "sexy woman" of yours looks like a dirty old man -- no surprise she doesn't get a raise out of Rummy. Why am I always the dissappointed one? Merde.Talking about merde, I didn't get what cekpet was saying. She said "shit" and what? Is it a deep thought or a joke or is it something cultural? Cause to me it sounds like two thirdgraders talking. -You shit. --No, you shit.
