Less Expensive Version of CQF ?

November 13th, 2009, 10:24 am

Is it possible that one can expect to see a less expensive version of CQF in future on the lines of CFA/FRM.This is because for international students CQF is extremly expensive unless its sponsored by the firms. Also given its relative new compared to CFA, the ROI for international students is less.

You can do the MFE from Baruch. I think the total tuition for the 18 month course is around $9,000. They are also able to to place almost all the international students which is quite surprising. Even in SUNY-Buffalo the tuition for the 1 year course is about $7,000 which is 10 times less than CMU and the other top schools. I think you learn the same stuff. But you may have more problems in getting a job.

If you're an international student, then you presumably are doing the distance CQF, which is a big cheaper.(standard disclaimer)Jawabean of course understands my relationship with the CQF...
