Has anyone else read this book (it is by Maxx Barry)? I read it this weekend, and it was hysterical.I don't know if you would call it science fiction, or something else, but it was incredibly good. The main premise: In the future, corporations have taken over the world, so much so that one's last name is the name of the company they work for. The main character, Hack Nike, is kind of an idiot. He works at Nike in merchandising, but gets offered a job in Marketing. He signs a job contract without reading it, then discovers that what he's signed obligates him to kill ten people.See, Nike has a new $2500 shoe coming out, and they think if they kill people while buying the shoes, the shoes will get "street cred" and everyone will want them. Don't worry, everything I told you is in the first few pages, and on the dust jacket, so I have not spoiled anything.Anyone else out there read this book? If not, I highly recommend it!
