Got an offer recently from a BB. The role is a QD. It should be in front office, and needs to communicate with traders a lot. One thing I don't like is this role belongs to IT department. Will the bonus be IT level or front office level?

Arthurdent is probably right, but it is not certain, some QDs are IT bonus some are FO. For the avoidance of doubt, if they say "it's IT bonus pool but you will be on a par with FO bonuses" they are lying. Indeed the phrase "on a par" is a surprisingly good indicator that you are being lied to.Your HH should be telling you this stuff...It's a standard question we ask when being briefed for a role.The term "in front office" is ambiguous. I have been "in the pilot seat of a front line jet fighter", but that never made me a fighter pilot. That being said, it's probably not a bad job, there's a number of people here who would love to have this option.What none of us can tell you, based upon the data you share, is whether this is right for you.
