Well that's might decrease the number of non-EU students significantly. How hard and expensive is it for companies to get visas for employees with non permanent work permits?

The controversial post-study work route will be abolished and only "trusted" sponsors will be able to offer courses below degree level to adults.I am not able to understand clearly what this statement means...

The gist is unless you get into top programs, which means you are talented (as per UK Visa systems), you won't get a VISA.As far as Finance is concerned, it makes no difference, as immigrants generally go into top programs or don't go at all.And the one who don't get admitted into top programs don't get jobs and ultimately have to come back home.

"trusted" means companies that have effective lobbyists and/or pay the right bribes.

Well they better crunch some numbers... My MSc program in UK was 80% foreigners (read higher fees). Of course, 99% did not stay to work in the UK, but I think the prospect is part of the lure.

I could not make that out from the articleThey are planning to cut net migration from 200,000 to under 100,000 by 2015. I hope LBS MBA grads are in 100, 000. Infact in LBS MBA/Masters in Finance program 80-90% of students are international. LBS is a way to attract smart applicants from across the globe to UK.If you get an MBA from LBS, Visa shouldnot be an issue.Quoted from the link :Immigration Minister Damian Green said: "I believe attracting talented students from abroad is vital to the UK but we must be more selective about who can come here and how long they can stay."Too many students coming to study at below degree level have been coming here to live and work, rather than studying. We need to stop this abuse."Today's proposals follow a major review of the system, and are aimed at a more selective system and, crucially, reducing the numbers to meet our target of reducing net migration to sustainable levels."The government wants to reduce these numbers as it tries to fulfil its pledge to cut net migration from 200,000 to under 100,000 by 2015.

Like most forms of racism it is not based upon perceived superiority, but feelings of inadequacy, and you need to understand that it model this clusterfuck.People here make the mistake that British people have some understanding of the 'national interest' and further that they actually care a lot about it.That's a bizarre base for a model, since the average Brit is barely better educated than than the average American, and the majority English people reduce the national average. In the most recent global league tables, Britain came below nearly all other English speaking countries in the level of attainment in EnglishMany really don't want smart, well educated foreign people coming here to compete with them, and since England has catastrophically low levels of maths attainment, there is simply no way to explain to most Brits that keeping them out makes their slice of the pie smaller. That's why labour unions in both Britain and the USA wants less immigration. They represent stupid and ignorant people who cannot understand that if you keep smart people out, they will go somewhere else and compete with you, but pay none of your taxes. The 'elite' (which is us boys and girls), whatever their political views like mobile labour markets, but we have radically different utility functions.
