Book on Macroeconomic and others topics

February 3rd, 2011, 7:04 am

Hi everyone,I'm looking for a good book of practical finance and macroeconomic, with topics such as : - monetary policies, key rates, ...- how money is produced with the explanation of inflation issues, ...- liquidity, liquidity holes, ...- derivatives and the issues related(with historical illustrations). Well in fact the things that every trader/treasurer/investissor should know.and more exotic topics which I haven't found in any other books I've read, such as corner risk or barbell strategy.

Some of the books here will deal with the first two topics: http://wilmott.com/messageview.cfm?cati ... d=78385For the liquidity stuff I think market micro structure books might help. Derivatives I say it depends on which aspect you want to look at?

you can go to the wilmott bookshop, and select the "major category" that suits you the most.

It sounds like you need a book for the course : Money, Bank and Financial Markets....I teach that class on regular basis...This is the standard text in most schools: is a new"idea"with textbooks ...the text is more fitted to business schools audience//up to this date,, I still dont get it...it seems to me all versions are almost identical...look like a marketing thing to me; "anyhu" that's another topic altogether)Just in case I use some material from here as well (I pick and choose, then add, deleted..etc)...http://financeprofessor.com/moneybanking/mblinks.htmM
