Not exactly difficult. Some are tricky, some are about STL details you must have memorized (weird!). Most of them are about syntax.

I did it while at my desk in my job, eating a sausage sandwich and drinking coffee.Bloomberg seem to be constantly hiring though (recruiters have been talking to me about them for about 3 years now). They have a pretty decent commodity platform too now, BMAP functionality etc. Its the best product I have ever used in my life in general and it keeps getting better. The help desk is really good, they turn around things really fast. Bloomberg tradebook is also expanding (auto trading APIs/excel trading). I really see their effort to tap into the commodity analytics space/providing data and visualization tools and all this in the last 1 - 1 1/2 years!
