Hi,could someone help me?I got a PhD in physics in 2009 (econometrics, modeling financial time series). Then I was in Ireland for 3 months and since summer 2010 I'm based in London working as private tutor. I've just started looking for a position (in January).pros- math finance (e.g. Ito calculus, portfolio optimisation, Black-Scholes)- 5 years programming exp. and excellent C++- problem solving skills (math olympiads)cons- PhD not in a UK/USA university- not a native speaker- age: I'm 31Considering the present recession and the new regulation, is it likely to find an entry level quant position within a year?Best target/strategy? investment banks, hedge funds ... CV sending, recruitment firm ...Thank you!

You have the right profile - math finance, c++, olympiad. There are several interview prep books, read them and study all the topics in those books, not just specific questions, and apply via several recruiters.
