PM fixed income HK or Singapore. Need Advice.

July 25th, 2011, 5:17 pm

Not sure if this is the right forum as it's mostly quant/risk oriented (my take). But since I've been trolling here and getting great nuggets of information in the past, I thought I'd give it a try.I've been working as a portfolio manager (managing and trading) on the corporate bond/credit desk for a buy side asset manager. Was in risk and credit research before that for 5 years. The work and job experience is great and it's a great role on the front office side. Due to family reasons I would like to look east. Mostly HK/Singapore. Would love India, but suspect there's not much of a fixed income industry yet. That being the case, what's the suggested path to apply there. Are visa's an issue for foreigners? Any suggested HH's.Also is it easy to move from fixed income here to fixed income there. Is Fixed income (not govt bonds, but rather corporates) PM a relatively pervasive, role in singapore? Thanks,
