Hi,I have a general question about commercial banking (home loans, car loans, etc). I have interest in a job at the headquarters of a local commercial bank. They are a typical commercial bank doing loans, handling savings, etc. They want someone to manage risk and to do analysis of existing business and forecast success, default rates, etc of business lines going forward, etc.I have plenty of experience in risk management and econometric and time series analysis, but it is all in other fields.I am hoping that someone can give me some direction or point me to some informative papers on the issues in commercial banking. I am aware of the vast literature on default risk and the like, but don't know where the state of the art is, or if that is even an important topic for a commercial bank.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
