Hi guys,Q abt grad school requirements. I want to do Masters in Stats/FE/Opera.Research. In my second degree(Elec.Eng), my GPA was 2.0 and in the second degree(Stats), the GPA is 3.7(maybe 4.0). I'm also doing a minor in Economics during my second degree. I only have to take 20 courses for my second degree. Regular students have to take 40 courses. My GMAT is 680....passed first 4 of the SOA (actuarial) exams...working on my level 1 CFA. I'm from Canada. What r my chances of getting into top 20 unies? Will I be eligible for funding? I'm sorry to say this...I hate GRE. I'm never gonna take it. Thnaks in advancemathmac.

Most of the top 20 unies require it (I undertand Columbia does not).But, sorry to break it to you, with average GMAT (by quant standards) and such a poor GPA (2.0), my guess is your chance of getting in is close to nil.

I think it partly depends upon the breakdown of your GMAT, what's the percentile for Quant? If over 95, you should be fine.

I didn't feel comfortable when I was studying for GRE. I never heard of those terms that they used in the practice test. Any opinion? Anyone had same feeling here?
