I have a good amount in my USD account so it worth looking for the best possible exchange rate to turn it into GBP through the bank transfer.Is there a website like comparethemarket/gocompare/etc which will find the best rate for me?Thank you.

have you tried someone like caxtonfx ? I use them all the time for transfers as well as their prepaid credit card. I always recommend them because I think they offer excellent service.
