Studying by yourself is difficult for those of us (like myself) who have found that they internalise info better by listening to lectures rather than reading books / slides Which brings me to my comment to this thread (I apologise to the OP if this is of limited use or if you are already aware): you might be better off doublechecking what precisely the method of material delivery is at the NUS programme. Example of possibilities listed below (and any combinations) - slides - audio of lectures or slide audio commentary - videos of recorded lecturesetcOf course best programmes should have all three. A course cost of >US$10k that gives you little beyond slides and reading list recommendations... can be argued to constitute a poor investment
