VBA code for bloomberg data pull

August 7th, 2012, 9:04 am

Hi All,I am currently working into Strategy team, and am supposed to do some automation in an excel sheet to make life easy. I need to pull some data from Bloomberg to Excel using VBA code. but the kind of data that i want to pull won't be using BDH or BDS or BDP function. For example: if you put CCTS Govt in bloomberg, you will get securities list. this securities list can be dragged down to excel sheet, but thats a bit tiring. So i want to automate this process so that as soon as i open the excel file/ click on a button, it gets updated automatically. Any kind of help will be very much appreciated,Thanks

[HELP][HELP] is a good start, but after a certain point along the request complexity line, the effectiveness will decrease and this will be taking a lot of time. You might be better off speaking with your the BBG account rep for your firm / desk, specifying what you want exactly. This should minimise the time investment and effort from you.
