I've an interview with ABN Amro for a trading credit risk analysis position, but have no previous experience in this role (the interview was gained for me by somebody else). Now what type of questions may they put forward....the following outline some of the responsibilities...1) Preparing credit applications for new and existing clients of the Equity Cash Trading line of business. These will be submitted to senior credit officers in the Trading Credit Risk Management (TCRM) department. The credit proposals will require counterparty analysis of all types of counterparties for the Equity business including banks, stock brokers, investment managers, corporates, insurance companies, pension funds and hedge funds. Most markets are covered by ABN Amro in the UK, but with an emphasis on UK and European entities. 2) As well providing support to the cash equity trading process, the role will require the candidate to under-take recommendations for ratings in respect of Equity Derivative issuer risk positions. This requires an in-depth counterparty analysis, on a fairly quick turnaround period. 3) Reviewing and reporting on excess trade positions, credit decisions and Hedge Fund Counterparties; and4) Co-ordinating and assisting in various counterparty migration projects. On a second note, I'm really interested in trading and wondered if this offered a good step to build product knowledge before leaving I-banking for a prop firm??Many Thanks
