Using Tradestation with own database?

Hi,I am wondering if someone has used TradeStation with a custom database for stock data? Fromwhat I have seen it doesn't seem like it is possible to write such an add-on.

Why would you want to use tradestation... there are much better programs for that sort of thing...With some vendors you don't even need your own database, because they have an excellent one themselves. CQG is what alot of traders use, because of their excellent database.What are you looking at in particular? Which markets?

It's not my choice to use tradestation. It's a customer that wants to know, and we get to create the connectionif it is possible. I will look at CQG.

Hello!For the 'old' Tradestation2000i there is a SDK to feed any realtime data you like (realtime and historic), maybe your own realtime P&L, electric load..... I used it once to feed Bloomberg Data in a TS. For the new TS 6.0 /7.0... i think there is no way.

You can actually feed your own data into Tradestation 7 now as well with something called OwnData from www.tssupport.comHavent tried it myself though. I wrote a small thing that refreshed CSV files from an SQL database, and then loaded it intoTradestation. That did the trick for me, but not sure how well that would work real-time.Frode Aschim
