Didn't find much value in that article. And I just went through a painful process of deciding between the two good offers.... I'd actually put point 2) as more important than 1). ....and I didn't see one of the most important factors, which is the wife's opinion. Remember "Happy wife = Happy life"

Quant net seems to have a lot of innane stuff like this and I sometimes wonder about the "you did maths, brilliant, your sorted!" attitude of the site (although many members seem to have the lowdown).However, innane as this is, a lot of grads will be listening to illogical and outmoded crap from their parents who know little about maths or any careers. I just wish it were a bit more to the point about quant specifics. E.g. a hard hitting article detailing how useless, self ingratiating most career advice you will get is.
