Olive oil is very specific to be honest, in the sense that this market doesn't work with other main (edible or not) vegoils. I mean it is much more specific than coconut oil and fish oil (I am being serious).Fungus attacks have been cited as a main factor behind lower productions this year in main European producing countries such as Italy, France and Spain (my understanding is that Italy has been hit the most). Olive oil prices have been through the roof lately eg 1 liter = EUR120* at some small-scale producers' in Southern France. * EUR still being worth something

'Salicin is metabolized into salicylic acid in the human body, and is a precursor of aspirin.[17] In 1763, its medicinal properties were observed by the Reverend Edward Stone.'

Olive oil prices have been through the roof lately eg 1 liter = EUR120* at some small-scale producers' in Southern France. * EUR still being worth somethingHow many thousand tonnes would you like to have at half of that price? Cif France.
