Why would you then pick Sanders? Clearly if even 2008-Obama couldn't get hope and change done, grandpa from New England ain't gonna either. Instead you'll want the evil career-politician, the dead-inside Washington insider who's been around since always, that knows all the tricks. Nope, this will not usher in a new age of socialism but at least you'll get a small portion from your wishlist done. And that is literally all there is to win.CMCouldn't or didn't really try to?BTW, are we really talking about the same "grandpa" who's been a senator for 30 or so years?I'm not so cynical to believe that Obama somehow "scammed" his voters, I believe he actually wanted change to occur and be truly bipartisan and work together across the aisle. Once he realised this approach wouldn't work he had lost some of his support which resulted in the 2010 midterms, which in turn led to him getting blocked constantly which disillusioned his supporters -- and himself. That being said almost all of Sanders ideas are so radical in comparison that they would never work out without support from the house and/or senate which he doesn't have. So it's pure, stupid, wishful thinking: Let's break up the banks! Let's kill tuition! Free health care for all! This sounds great. But it's never going to be transformed into reality, because reality is messy. It's just wishful thinking.2010 midterms results were the kunst of gerrymandering afaik and Obama did obamacare. I think the reality you perceive is a projection of your inner self. Try some joga, change your diet, ...obamacare indeedQuoteThe Republicans' 63-seat pickup in the House to take control of that chamber, as well as their gain of six Senate seats, signified a dramatic rollback of recent Democratic gains. In the election, Republicans won their greatest number of House seats since 1946. This has been attributed to the continued economic recession, as well as President Obama's controversial stimulus and health care reform bills
