I really liked abebooks when it first started> However, now it's been bought up by Amazon I find its stock is populated by trans-atlantic arbitrages and outrageous offers. Once upon a time one used to be able to pick up some real bargains in terms of older editions or out of print books from genuine 2nd hand booksellers.Wouldn't it be natural to develop an exchange to let motvated sellers see where bids will get to for certain volumes? For instance, Wilmott/Howison/Dewynne's "Option pricing" .I can bid £20 and offer £84.50Any improvements?
