I watched Terminator 5 the other day and it was awful. One thing I thought was very outdated was that people were hiding behind stuf to outsmart drones and robots. 

In the future, a swarm of these current-day autonomous sumo robot will probably kill you before you can even move. Any idea what's going on at 0:50? The guy has a very hard time lifting the robot from the floor. Is it maybe using an electromagnet to stick to the floor? And how can the robots have such a high acceleration?

It looks like they are not sensing emotions directly. Instead, the radio wave box detects small movements of the skin associated with heart rate and breathing patterns which are then interpreted as reflecting different emotional states. I'd expect a high error rates unless the system has collected sufficient baseline data for an individual to calibrate the resting heart rate and breathing patterns.

MIT did the same some time ago using WIFI signals in your home. I think I remember seeing sample code that you run on your laptop and which would detect heatbeats of people in the room. Very handy for a terminator to check if the room is 'cleared'.
